When I talk about client success, I love to tell the story of The SpyGlass Group, LLC — because after over five years of strategy and planning, I recently launched the next era of their trusted technology advisory chapter in 2025.
I started working with SpyGlass over five years ago, when long-time friend and fellow Ohio University grad, Ed DeAngelo, reached out to me here on LinkedIn.
Ed and his OU friend, Brad Clark, co-founded SpyGlass more than 20 years ago to become the industry-leading technology expense management (TEM) business it is today.
But over coffee five years ago, Ed told me they wanted to raise brand awareness with their 16,000+ clients throughout the U.S. and Canada. No small ask…but for those who know me, you know I love a challenge.
Flash forward, and we’ve had some great wins since I dove into building a strategy by speaking with over 80 clients across all industries — and the amazing SpyGlass team who gave me the inside skinny on TEM over the years (too many to mention here, but a big thanks to: Owen Hood, Davis McClure, Chris Box, SpyGlass, Mike Farrell, Nikole Guthrie, Steve Fisher, Philip Ferber).
These conversations not only helped differentiate their brand but also gave their clients a voice — and helped me learn the difference they make for each of them. It was these voices that also helped me deliver one of the biggest wins — developing a national public sector RFP response to lead SpyGlass to the winner circle. I loved every minute working with SpyGlass Senior VP of Revenue, Larry Seiler, to finish first!
Today, the SpyGlass new website redefines how they bring together proven audit expertise, strategic sourcing management, and ongoing optimization.
But it’s more than a website — it’s a belief in the big picture of SpyGlass and all they do.
A big shout out to the team who helped me get the site developed and live for the world: web developer, Dave Anthony, graphic designer, Karly Keirsey, photographer, robert wetzler, amazing content creators, Antonio Banda, Marie Turko, and Reegan Anthony, and videographer, Earl Carlton.
So, friends, here’s to preparing for the future to make it a reality.
“Before anything else, preparation is the key to success.”
